The previous Kagurabachi chapter ended on a high note – despite lacking in action. Why? Because it focused on giving some much needed character development for Chihiro (you can read the review for the previous chapter here).
Based on Kagurabachi chapter 65 spoilers, we’re not in for a big fight this time either. Instead, the team’s priority is clear: protecting Samura’s daughter at all costs, even if it means retreating from the enemy.
The following section of the article is based on the spoilers that are making rounds on the internet. Please the official release of the chapter on Manga Plus and Viz once it is out!!
Kagurabachi chapter 65 spoilers:
According to spoilers, Kagurabachi chapter 65 begins with Kuguri entering a frenzied state to fight Chihiro, while Rou prioritizes Iori’s safety.
As Chihiro struggles during his fight, he realizes that his execution of the Iai White Purity Style remains slow, exposing the skill gap between him and Kuguri.
However, Kuguri’s attention is more on the legendary technique itself, questioning how Chihiro, without a mentor, could learn such an advanced move.

Kagurabachi chapter 65 spoilers then reveal a key detail about Chihiro’s heritage.
His father, Kunishige Rokuhira, possessed exceptional observational skills that allowed him to stabilize Datenseki, the material for crafting Enchanted Blades.
Chihiro appears to have inherited this ability, enabling him to intuitively mimic the Iai White Purity Style by observing his idols, Samura and Uruha!
Amid Kuguri’s disbelief, Rou creates a diversion, allowing the Masumi to escape with Iori. Frustrated, Kuguri and his partner Toto realize they have no clue where their targets fled.
Chihiro and gang then take refuge at the Kyoto Massacre Hotel, a heavily fortified location.
At the hotel, the tone shifts toward character development. Iori questions Chihiro’s reputation, wondering if he is truly the murderer portrayed in media.
Chihiro openly admits to being a killer but assures her of his commitment to protecting her.
Coming to Iori – it seems that the main reason why the Masumi were hellbent on frisking her away was to make sure her memories were properly sealed.
Iori’s growing attachment to Samura had already started triggering fragments of her forgotten memories, which alarms Rou. He warns Chihiro not to discuss Samura in Iori’s presence, as it could undo the seal.
The Masumi debate resealing Iori’s memories for her safety, but Chihiro suggests a different path: letting Iori decide for herself.
Drawing from his own past, he acknowledges that while his life with his father was far from normal, it gave him invaluable memories. This perspective pushes him to advocate for Iori’s right to know the truth about her past.
The chapter concludes with Chihiro vowing to master the Iai White Purity Style and protect Iori, regardless of her choice. This marks a pivotal moment for Chihiro, as he begins to evolve from a vengeance-driven swordsman to a protector who values agency and trust.
TLDR:
The chapter drops some major information regarding Chihiro’s observation skill and also the Iai White Purity Style. However, the more meaty sections of the chapter obviously came from Chihiro and Iori’s interactions.
Based on his own experiences, he has suggested that Iori know the truth about her father, and then decide what needs to be done.
Branded as a murderer by the media, Chihiro solemly vows to protect Iori, no matter the outcome of her decision.
