The official X account of Kagurabachi announced that chapter 83 of the manga, which was scheduled to release on June 15, 2025 (June 16 in Japan), has been delayed due to author Takeru Hokazono’s sudden illness.
Chapter 83 will now release in Weekly Shonen Jump issue 30 will release on June 22, 2025 (June 23 in Japan).

Kagurabachi, which was scheduled to be published in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 29 (on sale June 16), will be on hiatus due to the author’s sudden illness.
The series is scheduled to resume in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 30 (on sale June 23).

While the manner of sickness was not revealed, author Hokazono himself took to social media to reassure to his readers.
“There will be no chapter next week. I’m sorry to have worried you. I am doing well and writing now,” Hokazono wrote on his official X account.
Kagurabachi manga has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since September 2023. The manga has been quite popular among readers since it was launched with circulation numbers having crossed 2 million.
Kagurabachi also won the 10th Next Manga Award in the print category in 2024.
The manga’s chapters have been collected into seven tankobon volumes at the time of writing. While the news of an anime adaptation by CygamesPictures leaked, an official confirmation of the anime adaptation is yet to come from Shueisha.
